In Q4 2014, traditional TV reached an average of 285 million viewers, however nearly half of the total audience viewed video on Smartphones and Internet, while 164 Million or more than 60 percent of total audience used an app or accessed web on Smartphones.



An average american spends nearly 43 hours in watching content on the app/web over a smartphone, with an average of 15 hours every month for viewing Time Shifted content. according to comScore, US Digital future in Focus, “OTT  (Over-The-top) devices such as Apple TV, Google Chromecast, and Microsoft Xbox are also gaining adoption and driving extended engagement of digital video viewing”.

The campaigns that have built-in digital video and gone with mobile-first strategy have yielded a higher ROI. Social Media sites are seen as the key point of engagement for most publishers and Premium sites have generated a stronger in-view rates.
