Facebook Tests “Shop Now” Call To Action

Facebook has introduced Shop Now as a Call To Action in Promoted Posts.
The CTA is designed keeping in mind that consumers are connected on Mobile devices and with an embedded shop now button in the post, the consumers will find it easier  to shop on the go and save time. With the button for CTA embedded in the Facebook post the retailers can create a seamless shopping experience, with buyers being directed to the landing pages of the offer.

As mentioned in a blog post on Facebook for business the CTA has been rolled out as a test to a few mid-sized businesses and assured consumers that the credit and debit card information is safe. Facebook has assured that all information will be secure and not shared with advertisers. The consumers can also choose to delete the information from the sites after making the purchase.

There has been a lot of chatter about Twitter testing a similar concept in Promoted Tweets.

Marketers who rely on response driven advertising for promoting their products will find it particularly useful as it will get more opportunities to promote offers in the Facebook News Feed.
