Facebook Messenger is now rife with Live Video conversations that can enable users to chat real-time and share videos with each other. According to a blog post, Instant Video can be activated by tapping on the video icon in the top right corner to start sharing real-time video. The feature is available in the latest Facebook Messenger app that can be downloaded for iOS or android devices.

The conversations are in an audio off mode and the Video hangs over the text messaging that takes place in the messenger. The users can get a live view with the instant video and choose to steer conversations based on Live Video. Users can thereafter choose to share a live video or simply carry on with Text messaging. According to Facebook, Instant Video builds on the authenticity of conversation in silent mode.

Starbucks reported a 9 percent increase in revenues with Q2 sales hitting a record USD 5 Billion with comparable store sales increasing  7 percent in the US.

Starbucks reportedly added 900,000 new members to Starbucks rewards program with 12 Million Active members in the US. The growth in Starbucks Rewards members is coupled with a strong uptake of newer initiatives from Starbucks such as Mobile Order and Pay. Mobile Order and Pay usage doubled year-over-year and now there are 8 million Mobile Order and Pay transactions processed by Starbucks per month.

Starbucks has recently revealed a new Rewards Program, with rewards that allow mobile consumers to pay for free food and drinks with Stars that can be earned with the Rewards Program.

Starbucks Rewards members can enjoy a free Gold status  till May 2 and earn additional benefits.

Starbucks has seen success with Mobile and as posted by GeekWire as high as 21 percent of all sales at Starbucks are on Mobile.

Adam Brotman, Starbucks’ chief digital officer, noted in Q4, 2015 that the company’s busiest locations are seeing the highest adoption rates for the new mobile ordering service. For example, on Wednesday at the World Financial Center in New York, 10 percent of all transactions were done using Mobile, Order & Pay; at the Duke Energy Center in Charlotte, 20 percent of transactions  were completed using the service; and at the Cleveland Clinic, 11 percent of transactions were completed in the same way.

“This is an example of how pleased our customers and partners are with Mobile Order & Pay,” he said. “We are seeing conversion rates and customer satisfaction scores from trials like we’ve never seen before.”

Brotman said that Starbucks will unveil new features in the first half of 2016 for the order-ahead service, including “suggested selling and pairing,” which will recommend items for customers to purchase, and “favorite stores and favorite orders.” There is also work being done to improve the estimated pickup time algorithm and accurate store inventory availability, he added.

“This is just the beginning of what we’re doing to improve not only adoption, but the experience,” Brotman said.

It tastes like a regular cafe mocha, but with extra dark chocolate. The flavor is available in three varieties: a latte, a frappuccino, and a hot chocolate. The frappuccino iteration consists of coffee with mocha syrup and chocolate chips blended with milk and ice. It’s very sweet, and the crushed chocolate chips add a rich texture to the drink. And the molten hot chocolate has bittersweet mocha syrup and chocolate chips that are melted into steamed milk. This has a slightly bitter taste for hot chocolate, and has a richer flavor than the other two drinks. It tastes the most like deep, dark chocolate — a big plus for serious chocolate lovers.
