Starbucks reported a 9 percent increase in revenues with Q2 sales hitting a record USD 5 Billion with comparable store sales increasing 7 percent in the US.
Starbucks reportedly added 900,000 new members to Starbucks rewards program with 12 Million Active members in the US. The growth in Starbucks Rewards members is coupled with a strong uptake of newer initiatives from Starbucks such as Mobile Order and Pay. Mobile Order and Pay usage doubled year-over-year and now there are 8 million Mobile Order and Pay transactions processed by Starbucks per month.
Starbucks has recently revealed a new Rewards Program, with rewards that allow mobile consumers to pay for free food and drinks with Stars that can be earned with the Rewards Program.
Starbucks Rewards members can enjoy a free Gold status till May 2 and earn additional benefits.
Starbucks has earlier engaged customers with brand experiences that are unique such as In-store playlists created by Starbucks baristas in partnership with Spotify.
