Google has partnered with Facebook Exchange allowing its clients to access FBX inventory via DoubleClick Bid Manager. The search company just announced that advertisers that buy through DoubleClick would have access to FBX, Facebook’s exchange.
This means that advertisers can now go through Google’s DoubleClick to purchase inventory Facebook’s real-time ad platform, on top of the dozens of other exchanges already available. The move is a sign that while Google and Facebook are intense rivals (previously Facebook had blocked Google from FBX), there are areas of cooperation, especially when it comes to serving up ads across the Internet.
“Partnership has been key to Google’s success as a rising tide lifts all boats,” Google said in a statement today. Google said that the FBX ad inventory would become available through its platform in the coming months.
